Saint Albert Catholic Schools - Council Bluffs, IA

Sharing God's Gifts Fund

Established as an agency fund for Saint Albert Catholic Schools as part of the Sharing God’s Gifts Capital Campaign in 2013/14.

The purpose of this fund is to support the long-term infrastructure, debt reduction or endowment needs of Saint Albert Catholic Schools.

With an enrollment of over 700 pk-12 students, the Saint Albert Catholic Schools offer a small town, Catholic school atmosphere within the Omaha/Council Bluffs metropolitan area. Saint Albert Catholic School system prepares all students to excel, graduate, and succeed in post-secondary education. Over thirty percent of our families receive tuition assistance, and nearly twenty-five percent come from non-Catholic families. Saint Albert is a school system that proudly supports learners of varied academic ability, economic means, religions, and ethnicity.

Parents are attracted to the faith-based Catholic education in a safe, orderly, purposeful learning environment.  Our students come from surrounding communities, faiths, and foreign countries to learn and grow with us.  Saint Albert students benefit from the high academic expectations, small class sizes, and dedicated teachers.  Students of Saint Albert Catholic are expected to distinguish themselves through their achievement, appearance, effort, and attitudes.  As such, our students have built rich traditions and earned respect for their many and varied academic, athletic, and activity accomplishments.  Our alumni continue to distinguish themselves as faith-filled leaders, and we welcome your support to secure and enrich the Catholic community of southwest Iowa.

WHY IS THE FUND IMPORTANT TO YOUR ORGANIZATION?

Your donations allow Saint Albert to secure quality education and excellent facilities at an affordable tuition for our families.  All Saint Albert parents pay tuition, and current Saint Albert parents simply cannot afford to pay for costly school repairs and renovations in addition to tuition costs.  The Saint Albert Catholic Schools rely on local parish support and donations to create a quality Catholic education that is affordable for our families.

Donations fund school needs from computers to carpet, pencils to parking lots, and school lunches to locker rooms.  Whether you wish to help a family with tuition, support the purchase of classroom technology, or fund a major school improvement, our school community welcomes and appreciates your generosity.

Gifts to Saint Albert directly fund school improvements and help the school maintain affordable tuition for our families.  In the past decade, donations have funded completion of our elementary school, classroom renovations of middle and senior high school, heating and air conditioning upgrades, restroom renovations, a chrome book initiative that provides computer access to all k-8th graders, and Wi-Fi upgrades that support campus wide high-speed Internet access.

Saint Albert is currently appealing to benefactors to help raise the $35,000 required to repair our parking lot.  With future plans to remodel the high school gym lobby and restrooms, renovate the athletic complex, expand high school activity space, and update the upper drive and school entrances, the Campus Strategic Plan has set ambitious future goals for the Saint Albert Catholic Schools.

This summer, benefactor gifts have supported expansion of childcare and early childhood programs, and funded classroom renovations that allow us to expand enrollment opportunities for our youngest students.  This work also included adding additional lockers to the secondary school and relocating several high school programs to updated classrooms.  The donations have also helped replace elementary school walkways and update the elementary heating and air conditioning systems.
